Visitors may import up to 400 cigarettes and two bottles of alcoholic
beverages if stay less than 6 months. A reasonable quantity of perfume is allowed for
personal use. One camera, radio, watch, video and related equipment requires no duty
provided re-exported. Arms, ammunition, printed matter directed against the public order
and the morality of China, radio transmitters, exposed but undeveloped films are
prohibited.

Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport is located
13 km from the city centre. Taxi fare is about CNY 45 and the coach
fare is about CNY 12. The new airport ¡ðV Pudong International
Airport, which has been put into use in 1999, is located 30 km from
the city centre. Taxi fare is about CNY 150 and coach fare is between
CNY 18 to 30. There are six bus routes available from downtown to
Pudong International Airport.
